A Place You Can Learn to Eat With a Concious Do you usually have an idea of how many kilocalories you are taking when you order a meal in a restaurant? Did you, for instance, know that the daily kilocalorie requirement for men and women is 2,500 and 2,000 Kcal respectively? Well, now you can at the Bridges Organic Restaurant located on Trust Mansion Building along Tubman Road in Nairobi's CBD. The month-old restaurant whips an assortment of meals that are as organic as its name. Each menu item has this extra piece of information you hardly see in any other restaurant - its calorific value. That is not all - the restaurant has a resident nutritionist on standby just in case something triggers your nutritional curiosities. Bridges is Kilimohai certified, which means it has met the highest standards in the production and processing of organically produced foods. Put another way, the food in your plate is free of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, antibiotics, hormones or GMOs. On the day of the visit, a 696 Kcal portion of organic fish fillet in coconut sauce served with white ugali (you can opt for brown) and spinach sounded like a good plan. This was washed down with a glass of the Cleaner, a blend of carrots and beet root, which added another 237 Kcal. Folks here like to say that eating at Bridges is not only a winning move for you, but also a win for the small scale organic farmers who supply the menu ingredients and a win for the environment!

The food tastes amazing and fresh and as a vegetarian they you can also be fully satisfied! The fresh juices are great and delicious! Good and clean place next to the Market ! Just one recommendation for the management : don’t use the plastic straws !!

Wholesome food from sustainable practice Saw this place from the bus on arrival and had to check it out. Great food, limited menu no bar. So instead I had a flu buster Dawa to strengthen my mmune system. Loved the Cashew Chicken and Fish Cutlet. Nice decor, helpful server, was able to face away from the TV, a downside to many restaurants.

BIG Portions We found Bridges on Trip Advisor so I feel it's only fair to also review this wonderful find! As a vegan it's not always easy to find good, healthy food but we loved it here. I had a black bean stew with chapati and rice. There was loads and it was delicious. I had a fruit smoothy and my friend had some volcanic shot, but be careful that thing was lethal. I'll be back next time I'm in Nairobi. Thank you

Great, honest food! If you are tired of pesticide-loaden, oily food, this is the place to be. I just loved the avocado-banana juice, and the vegetable githeri tasted great. Not on the menu, but also available was the famous dava, hot lemon-ginger-tea with honey. Knowing that they support smallholder farmers who decided to develop an alternative that is good for people and planet, this is definitly worth recommending. And very reasonably priced.

Tasty food & Friendly service The wait staff was friendly and the food was tasty. I wanted an authentic Kenyan recipe and the waitress suggested the Swahili Coconut Chicken with ugali and sautéed local greens. I also had the Pick Me Upper fruit smoothie which was also good.

Freshly prepared tasty meals with excellent service. The restaurant has wide range of choices. From fresh-squeezed juices to hot foods. We've had soups and hot meals. All were freshly prepared and very tasty. Service was excellent, I mentioned an allergy and did not see the culprit ingredient in any meals we've shared.

Good food and good price We had lunch at bridges. The food is good and comes in big portions. We had swahili chicken and cashnew chicken. Both were really good. We also liked the fresh juices. I recommend.

Authentic and Reasonable I have been to this establishment severally. Other than its location that is at the midst of shops area, the restaurant is awesome. They have some of the most authentic Kenyan traditional dishes that you can only find in the rural establishments. Theirs is a niche too - organic food grown in an organic manner. The service too is wonderful. They never disappoint on return. Pricing is fair too. Keep up!
